Why work for us?

Harriet CEO GIAA As a relatively new recruit to GIAA myself, I am enthused by our dynamic approach to delivering high quality services for our customers. I applied to become GIAA’s chief executive because I am passionate about ensuring robust systems, processes and controls are in place to safeguard public money, so that as much as possible flows through to those who need it most. Leading the Agency puts me in a privileged position to drive forward this agenda across the breadth of government and many different organisations.

I’m sure that in a similar way, this role has appealed to you because of the multiple opportunities it offers. You will be joining a team that works across a diverse customer base including most government departments and their many related organisations. Our work is motivating, varied, and challenging in a very positive way that will enrich and enhance your long-term career path. As a maturing and ever evolving organisation, we are now at a crucial point in our development as we work to become an ever more efficient and impactful force in our professional field. Our delivery of better insights, better outcomes for our customers, and ultimately the public, is linked directly to the individual contribution made by all our employees. Everyone who joins GIAA has a role to play in taking our vision forward and securing our future success.

With full support of our GIAA board, our executive committee, the wider senior leadership team and, of course, our people, I am committed to building on the Agency’s progress so far as we look forward to our future achievements together. We are here to help our customers deliver enhanced value for money, and we have the unique privilege of using our shared expertise and experience to advise, influence and counsel some of the most senior decision makers across government.

We have designed this application pack to give you details about this specific role and to explain our purpose as an Agency. You can also visit www.gov.uk/GIAA to learn more about our work. In GIAA, we value, celebrate, and champion diversity, inclusion and belonging. Sharing our different perspectives makes us stronger and more effective. If you believe that you have the skills, experience and attitude that we need, then we very much look forward to receiving your application.
