The Assistant Sustainability Specialist assists project teams in setting and meeting environmental sustainability goals. The Assistant Sustainability Specialist assists in developing green policies and initiatives that emphasize the proper use of resources, focusing on sustaining these resources for future generations.

* Assist with reviewing compliance with federal and state environmental quality regulations standards for client projects.
* Assist with conducting compliance audits, incident management, and root cause analysis of sustainability programs, initiatives, and concerns at client facilities, including design and implementation of risk mitigation solutions.
* Assist with developing all internal/external related communications and public reporting, including the annual Corporate Sustainability Reports.
* Assist in developing sustainability strategy successful implementation of Sustainability (CS) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy, short- and long-term goals, foundational projects, and new corporate sustainability initiatives.
* Assist with environmental impact statistics and reporting; maintains regulatory compliance documentation.
* Assist with reporting cutting-edge trends, data, and sustainability goals to internal and external clients.
* Assist with developing sustainability initiatives through energy savings, process innovation, and optimization.
* Maintain industry expertise, including trends and competitive market awareness.
* Assist with compiling monthly marketing and business development information to leadership, including sales and revenue forecasts.
* Assist with compliance with company and site safety policies.
* Minimum of a GPA strongly preferred.
* Involvement on campus or in the community preferred.
* Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently (, without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
* Complies with all policies and standards.
* Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or related field from an accredited program required
* 2 years of related professional experience is preferred.
* Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
* Basic knowledge of environment/sustainable business practices, regulatory/statutory dynamics, and current trends in the profession.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to apply intensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices to broad assignments and devise new approaches to problems encountered.
