We are looking for an experienced and passionate Sustainability Manager to join our team to deliver our strategy and Client requirements around sustainability. The role will primarily cover Central Scotland with a focus on our ongoing projects in Edinburgh.

The Sustainability Manager role

To work with our project teams to embed and deliver the requirements of our company sustainability strategy and client deliverables on projects across the North.

The successful candidate should have experience in construction environmental management, environmental assessments and delivering projects which are aligned to our sustainability strategy's four pillars, namely Carbon, Resource Efficiency, Ethical Procurement and Social Value.

Your profile

  • Experience of providing highly technical sustainability support to complex Construction or Civil Engineering projects
  • Good communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to manage the delivery of sustainability on multiple projects at the same time
  • Qualifications / strong knowledge of construction, environmental assessment methods (BREEAM, HQM, WELL etc)
  • Experience in carbon reduction and assessment
  • Experience in waste reduction on construction sites
  • Experience of embedding environmental / sustainability requirements into design and procurement information
  • Detailed understanding of industry and client sustainability requirements
  • Experience in training and upskilling construction project staff to improve environmental and sustainability performance
  • Understanding and experience in delivering Social Value
  • Excellent knowledge and experience of environmental legislation and control measures in a construction environment
