Ref: 14248 Role: Director of Sustainability Location: Wallington, Surrey (hybrid 3 days in the office and 2 from home) Salary: up to GBP70k DOE Summary: We are looking for an experienced Director of Sustainability to join an Energy and Carbon Consultancy. The role will be managing the carbon and compliance team in terms of successful technical delivery of all carbon-related products and services. The role will also look after customers and ensure their renewal; commercial awareness; skilled lined management; understanding of carbon/energy management delivery processes and introducing an ESG governance framework to customer solutions and how to optimise these. The ideal candidate must have experience and knowledge in Carbon and Compliance as well as in TCFD, SECR, ESOS reporting and ESG. So, if this sounds like you, apply today! Key responsibilities: Line management of consultants sitting within the Carbon Solutions team Performance planning, feedback, guidance, development, and improvement of team members Managing the teams resources to enable the successful delivery of products and services Input into client management including renewal agreements in advance of their expiry Identifying opportunities to further support customers and passing these on to business development Structuring, development, and growth of the team Input into strategic discussions Training of other teams and new team members both internally and externally when required Liaising with other team managers to coordinate service delivery and work winning Ensuring the team is utilised effectively and in line with target expectations Development of new services and solutions within the department Development and Introduction of ESG framework and sustainable solutions Responsible for P&L of division Skills and experience required: Line / project management, or able to demonstrate people/customer/project management Min 5 Year carbon management background Great experience and knowledge of TCFD, SECR ESOS reporting and ESG Understanding of budgets and targets Commercial and entrepreneurial view and a strong awareness of the subject matter Aware of the strategic vision of the Division & how Carbon and Energy management meshes with this Strong organisational and planning skills Ability to use initiative, make decisions, identify problems, and solve them Lead by example to the rest of the team, strong customer focus
