Position/Title/Fund:Director of Facilities and Sustainability
Location:Stamford, CT
Responsibilities: Under the general direction of the Director of Operations performs professional and administrative work leading and managing City of Stamford buildings and structures except those assigned to the Board of Education. Plans, promotes, organizes, and manages all functions of the Facilities Department and sustainability initiatives; Administrates the daily operations of the engineering, maintenance and repair functions for buildings, equipment, and systems. Implements policies, standards, and processes to ensure compliance with multiple local, state, and national regulatory standards and the management of vendor contract development and fulfillment. Does related work as assigned.
Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in facilities management, architecture, engineering or a related field and at least eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in facilities or construction management; five (5) of which shall have been in a supervisory capacity or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience. At time of appointment, possession of a valid State of Connecticut driver's license. May be required to work evening and weekend hours and response to emergencies.
