ESG Investment Research Specialist. Are you a Professional with Environmental Social Governance (ESG) investment research background? This is your chance to work for prominent UK based provider of Investment consulting and wealth management services. In any of their UK offices (Birmingham, London, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Manchester, Leeds, Reading or Croydon) As an ESG Investment Research Specialist you will be tasked with providing clients the advice and support they need to produce better returns and financial well-being for their members in the years to come. Working as part of the Investment Advisory team you will aid the team in providing full investment consulting services to trustees and sponsors of pension schemes across both defined benefit and defined contribution markets. The business is looking to grow to allow them to provide advice to charities, insurers and high net worth individuals on a range of investment issues. This is seen as a key grown are to the business and as such significant investment is being made in new ideas and technology. As the ideal candidate you will be an associate actuary or CFA qualified, if not you should at least be working towards the completion of the Actuarial or CFA exams (Any additional qualifications in climate science or sustainability-related topics would be beneficial). Utilising your 2-5 years of experience in financial services with some on this experience including ESG research you will be expected to produce new sustainability-related investment ideas and create materials covering a broad range of ESG issues to take to clients and prospects. A high-level understanding of ESG regulations including TCFD and SFDR/SDR and their relevance to UK pension schemes will allow you to attend client meetings and support clients on their ESG/ TCFD journey. In this role as ESG Investment Research Specialist you will work with clients to quantify the potential impact of climate change on their investments, identify key risks and opportunities and set short to long-term climate goals that can be aligned with their investment strategy. This includes, for example, assessing climate-related metrics and targets, and climate scenario analysis. As part of this role you will be asked to help deliver ESG beliefs setting sessions, while providing client-specific ESG training and presenting ESG ideas and advice across the business. Project managing client and research projects to tight deadlines, as well as demonstrating a in depth understanding of climate risks and opportunities, and climate modelling, analysing ESG metrics and working with ESG data providers will be a necessity of this role. This role will be a hybrid working role with a minimum of 2 days a week in one of their offices based throughout the UK. In return you will receive a competitive salary ranging GBP45,000 - GBP60,000 dependent on experience.
